NO BAD DAYS IN OCTOBER… RT 🌱🌸

The way they’re framing this as if she changed her story repeatedly is so irresponsible when in reality she was merely given the opportunity to read over and correct the transcribed statement that was written by someone else to make sure it was accurate, a very standard procedure

The Rape University, formally known as @Cornell

All the men who thought Lindsay Clancy should be executed without a guilty verdict are suddenly able to understand due process when a group of men are accused of gang rape. Huh. What could that possibly mean? 🧐

Dudes couldn’t shut up about Lindsay Clancy but quiet af about Cornell University

They raped a drugged and barely conscious woman for 7 hours and got essays as a punishment? Tear it all down.

that’s my girl ♥️

You’d think a UN report saying we’re categorically fucked on climate unless we take drastic action would be more newsworthy

I genuinely don’t understand how we are supposed to casually process that a glacier literally collapsed in Nepal, erasing 19 bridges and killing over 600 people, because the planet is too hot. And instead of stopping it, billionaires are building more data centres. It is completely psychotic.

For those of you that haven't read it, Chapter 13 of Project 2025 was literally about creating food insecurity by cutting safety nets and slashing regulations and restrictions on food production. No, we weren't overreacting to Project 2025.

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life. This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.  Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

The world does not need an artificial intelligence that diminishes humanity; rather, it needs human intelligence enlightened by wisdom, political authority guided by conscience and technological innovation directed by charity. Only then will artificial intelligence become not a rival to humanity but a servant of the common good.

Angus: "Canadian taxpayers are paying an enormous amount of money so Canada's Maple MAGA rage machine, Pierre Poilievre, can live in the style he believes he deserves — a 19-room mansion with groundskeepers and private chef, all paid for by you. All so that he can rage that everyone else is ripping off the system."

Sometimes a few lines are enough to break your heart. “Daddy, I'm so alone.” “I don't have anything anymore.” “All I do is sit and look at my phone.” “And then I come home to no one.” Did this scene hit you, or was it just me?

To whom it may concern and to everyone else as well,

👏DO👏NOT👏LET👏THIS👏STORY👏DIE👏 Texas Attorney General, and now Republican nominee for the Texas Senate Ken Paxton gave his friend 28 days in jail after he repeatedly raped a young boy. He does not have to register as a sex offender. He didn’t even lose his license to practice law.

Andrew Garfield says losing his mother killed half his ambition and left him questioning the meaning of life "I lost my mother during that time (2019), and it was a rearranging experience. My whole system was rearranged" "It was like half of my ambition died with her. A lot of my energy left with her, and I got very confused about the meaning of life" "I didn’t want to run away from the grief, the loss, the absence of my mother’s energy on this planet. I wanted to just be with it"

Emilia Clarke says she is still absolutely livid over Jon Snow's ultimate betrayal in Game of Thrones. "Yes, Khaleesi, that is the last thing I say before the cheeky little shit stabs me. Fucking outrageous, I was so pissed." "They wrote every single episode before we started filming the show... And Kit hadn't read it 'cause he wanted to be surprised. Or he's lazy." "Him killing me really bummed me out. Kinda rude. I gave that man everything. I burnt cities to the ground for him, for us, so we can do this."
