@clipperrob Bursting ads in the week of your launch is usually not as effective as a long dedicated ad spend over months. So yes they might be slightly more expensive but over the entire marketing campaign it is a minor increase. And in the case of Zelda, they aren't even running ads.

Here is the line at beautiful arrowhead mall in sunny sunny Glendale arizona. I talked to over a dozen people. I would say about 30% played pc games. Most were dedicated console players.

Don't change your launch date just because some AAA game is launching. It doesn't matter as much as you think it does. You must attempt to grasp how infinitely huge the gaming market is. It is vast. SUPER VAST. Even a big launch like zelda is a tiny pebble dropped in a huge lake.

In 1 week, I am going to look at the concurrent steam player counts. I am 99.9% certain there will be no visible decrease in Steam players who shut down their computers so they can fire up their switch.
