Since its inception in 1992, apart from professional in-service training, the Centre’s popular 3-day fire safety certificate course has trained over 3,800 individuals since 2024 alone. This has significantly boosted community preparedness in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Shri Sunny Gupta, IPS SP(Fire) & Shri Jagdish Varma, Inspector (Training), received the honour on behalf of the Centre. Recognised as a State Training Centre by NFSC, Nagpur, it became one of 11 institutions in India authorised to conduct the prestigious Sub-Officers Course.
