Many junior faculty get hurt & exploited by their students, when the PI is a very good & caring person (not me or my students). Many of my PI colleagues suffer from mental health issues when dealing with bad student behaviors & are super depressed. We need to help these PIs too.

Predicting phage-host interactions based on genomic sequence alone is an actively r’ed (including us) classic research problem. Lack of ‘good’ & ‘open’ experimental data is one of the challenges.👇🏼adds a nice dataset towards this larger goal of predictive biology.

I'm thrilled to present the research I've been working on for the last few years in preprint format. We've found giant genes (>30,000 amino acids!!) across domain bacteria, but concentrated in the candidate phylum Omnitrophota. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
