#75 - Octopath Traveler 👍 - Great look, stellar soundtrack, and an equally stellar battle/job system. 👎 - For a game with 8 central heroes it's expectedly grindy and none of the stories were what I'd consider great. Good, but not great. More travel banter pls! 8/10
#76 - Disco Elysium: Final Cut One of the best games I've ever played. Without question. It's so densely packed with lore and choices with meaningful consequences. Definitely one I'll play again with a different approach. 10/10.
#77 - The Council Rough around the edges with a terrible soundtrack, but The Council is maybe the most interesting episodic adventure game on the market. Playing verbal gymnastics with the rpg mechanics was always a treat and I'm a sucker for historical fiction narratives.
#78 - Iconoclasts A solid metroidvania full of interesting characters, genuinely funny and disturbing events, music, pixel art, level & puzzle design, and combat. There are some *very* high difficulty spikes during some late-game boss fights, but easy mode is a thing. 8/10
#79 - Donut County 2nd time playing (first was on Switch, this time on Xbox) and still as funny and chill as before.
#80 - Omno Wouldn't have checked it out without Game Pass and it ended up being one of my favorite games of the year so far. A little rough around the edges at times but a hell of an adventure. That ending too 😭. 9/10
#81 - Last Stop A bizarre sci-fi adventure with a solid story that always kept me guessing. The film grain filter, motion blur, ugly character models and their awkward animations were all a bit of a constant eyesore, but it's an adventure game. Story matters most. 7/10
#82 - Cross The Moon A literal visual novel without player input, but one of the most well-written I've played. Just a stylish vampire sci-fi VN that tackles sexuality and racism across three intertwining storylines. Inclusive cast, excellent music + aesthetic. Only $5. 9/10
#83 - What Remains of Edith Finch Can't believe it's taken me this long to finally play it. Amazing, trippy, and emotional experience. The Barbara chapter was the best for obvious reasons. 10/10
#84 - Doom 64 Just went through it in under an hour for the 1000G on Xbox. Thanks @BiLLzuMaNaTi @AchievementLand for the YT video guide!
