I’m not crazy about the idea of potential employers wanting references. A letter confirming employment and a confirmation of no prior disciplinary issues at said workplace should suffice. Not everyone has our best interests at heart.

Another big problem we have in Botswana is ridiculously low wages. Which makes it virtually impossible to instill good customer service in workers. Can’t give your best with a smile when you’re working for peanuts.
