Dear great people of a great country, I am immensely proud of each of you. I admire each one of you. I believe in each one of you. Any normal person wants the war to end. But none of us will allow Ukraine to end. That is why when it comes to ending the war, we always add: on our terms. That is why, along with the word peace, there is always another word: just. That is why, in the future, the word independent will always appear alongside the word Ukraine. This is what we fight for. And we will prevail. On the greatest day of our lives. I thank all of our soldiers, our people, and everyone around the world who stands with us and the truth. Glory to Ukraine!

🇫🇮🤝🇺🇦 Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine two years ago. Russia’s aggression has caused immense destruction and suffering. Ukraine will have Finland’s unwavering support as long as necessary. Ukraine and Ukrainians deserve a just and lasting peace.

For two years, Ukraine has fought heroically against Russia’s illegal war of aggression. We stand by Ukraine. Today and tomorrow. To all the brave people of Ukraine, Slava Ukraini!

Two years have passed since Russia initiated its full-scale war. Each day Ukrainians show the world what bravery really means. We stand with Ukraine, as you stand for the security of all of Europe. I believe in Ukraine’s victory and that Russia can be defeated. #SlavaUkraini

NATO will continue to #StandWithUkraine 🇺🇦 — Secretary General @jensstoltenberg

@niinisto I am grateful for your clear stance, dear @niinisto, as well as for Finland’s reliable and long-term support. Both of our nations know too well that freedom must be well-armed and well-protected. Together, we will defend our nations and their freedom.

Deeply disturbed and saddened by news of the death of Alexei Navalny. Putin fears nothing more than dissent from his own people. A grim reminder of what Putin and his regime are all about. Let's unite in our fight to safeguard the freedom and safety of those who dare to stand up against autocracy.

The world has lost a fighter whose courage will echo through generations. Horrified by the death of Sakharov Prize laureate Alexei Navalny. Russia took his freedom & his life, but not his dignity. His struggle for democracy lives on. Our thoughts are with his wife & children.

Sad news reached us here in Munich. Alexei Navalny lost his life defending freedom and democracy in his country. Russia bears responsibility. My thoughts are with Navalny's family and friends.

Putin fears nothing more than dissent from his own people. The world has lost a freedom fighter in Alexei Navalny. We will honor his name. And in his name we will stand up for democracy and our values.

Ensimmäinen on rauhanviesti: "Myös rauhasta pitää puhua. Rauha on aina voitto. Uusi aikakausi alkaa”. Kiitos kaikista näistä vuosista Sauli Niinistö.

We all certainly hoped that the new year would begin under luckier stars. Let us keep in mind, however, that even the heaviest clouds dissipate one day. That things will get clearer again. Happy New Year 2024. presidentti.fi/en/speeches/ne…
