When a loss occurs, it's easy to get annoyed, pissed off, or even depressed. It's harder to stay stable, rational, and inquisitive. But the moment you can, you've really adopted the qualities of a professional trader.
Even if an emotion seems to dominate your present moment experience, know that there are ways to release it. The factor of mindfulness gives you that power.
Every day, the market offers you an opportunity to earn or learn.

Trading is a journey of mastery. Despite its challenges, you've got to enjoy it to get really good at it. If you can’t see yourself doing this for the rest of your life, you should probably put your time and effort somewhere else.

The most important thing to know about discipline is that it is not necessarily a feeling of motivation. More often than not, it is a choice that you choose to make.
Certainty is obtained from hard facts. But in the market, facts seem to always be changing. There are also many unknown variables. Uncertainty is the name of the game.

You're not going to make perfectly rational decisions all the time. That's not how the human mind has evolved to be. So, get this fallacious idea out of your head. Instead, come up with a trading plan. Systematize the hard decisions.
Consistency comes from processes and rules. Those are monotonous, dull, unexciting... No wonder nobody wants that.
Behavioral consistency. This cannot be bought. It has to be understood, practiced, and refined.
To win in the market, you must learn to do what the masses can’t do or won’t do.
Don't compare your performance to some random person on social media or some arbitrary benchmark. Just focus on being consistent. Let the numbers play out.
Pain will force you to either: 1. Change your ways and adapt. 2. Choose the easy way out―i.e., quit. Exceptional traders, athletes, musicians, entrepreneurs enjoy the success they have because they made the hard choice to stay and earn their mastery/expertise.
In trading, survival supersedes everything else. If you don't have staying power, you won't be able to accomplish much.
For the newbie trader, a single trading loss is often a tragedy. For the pro trader, a single trading loss is merely a datapoint.
