Indian Navy's 🇮🇳 S5-class SSBN's are being developed as a much larger successor to earlier Arihant-class boats, with an submerged displacement of ~13,500-17,000 tonnes and also a significantly enlarged missile compartment (K-5/K-6 SLBMs). BARC is developing a 190-200MWe nuclear-reactor for the S5 programme, which is aimed at providing substantially greater endurance/longer submerged ops than the ~83MWe reactor on the current arihant-boats. Larger hull and pump-jet propulsion are also intended to support improved acoustic characteristics and long-duration strategic patrols. S-5 subs are going to carry 12-16 missiles tubes for K-5/K-6 SLBMs (10,000-12,000km reach), well-within reach and dominance in IOR. These boats are equivalent to USN's Viriginia and PLAN's Type 092/094 class SSBNs.

🚨 Alleged West Bengal SHG Data Breach Exposes Aadhaar and Financial Information A large-scale data breach allegedly affecting the Government of West Bengal’s Self Help Group & Self Employment portal has exposed an 80GB SQL database containing sensitive citizen information. The dataset reportedly includes Aadhaar numbers, bank account details, IFSC codes, loan records, mobile numbers, addresses, identity documents, and user photographs linked to Self Help Group beneficiaries. The incident presents serious privacy and financial security concerns, as the combination of identity, banking, and contact information could be abused for identity theft, financial fraud, phishing, account takeover attempts, and highly targeted social engineering campaigns.

False claims are being circulated by certain accounts alleging that the #IndianArmy has joined #DelhiPolice in anti-protest operations. #Pakistani accounts are also spreading manipulated content, including old videos of soldiers with fabricated audio, as well as footage of individuals wearing Indian Army-style uniforms, to falsely portray the Army as being involved in the protests.
