Fifty years ago today, @JohnnyBench_5 and the Big Red Machine became back-to-back champs. The World Series MVP knocked two hits in each game – including a pair of homers in Game 4 – to power Cincinnati’s sweep. ow.ly/9G1U50ZZPJs

Norm Macdonald was fired from Weekend Update in 1997 after NBC executives decided he wasn’t funny. A year and a half later they asked him to host the show. He didn’t open with gratitude or a comeback story. He opened with a logical problem: How does someone go from “not funny enough to be allowed in the building” to “funny enough to host” in eighteen months? The monologue that follows treats the invitation itself as the setup.

I am in tears. President Trump and Vice President JD Vance announced Nick Shirley will get PAID for the fraud he has EXPOSED THIS IS A MASSIVE WIN 🔥

Pete Davidson playing Rami Malek while Rami Malek plays Pete Davidson sitting right next to each other on SNL is peak casting. The moment Pete in that bleach blonde hoodie looks over and completely freaks out because Rami’s bug-eyed stare looks like “a Victorian child trapped in his eyes” broke me. Rami didn’t even break character once, just kept deadpan staring into his soul. Who had the better impression here, Pete capturing Rami’s intense quiet stare, or Rami completely nailing Pete’s unhinged slouching chaos?

Saturday Night Live’s “Upfront Heating & Air Conditioning” takes a familiar homeowner fear and turns it into a sales pitch: what if the contractor told you exactly how terrible the job would be before you hired them? The fake company promises that the charming salesman who gives

With all the meanness in the world, how about some kindness?

“It’s not all heroin & racist cops, there’s also meth & racist firefighters”

There is a human cost to enforcement that rarely makes headlines. A senior official telling the public that routine errands now require protection is a window into it. Those who carry out immigration law are public servants, and they deserve safety on the job and off it. Threats against them are crimes and should be treated as such. Argue about the policy as loudly as you want, but keep violence out of it. A country cannot enforce any law if those who do the work are afraid to leave home.

The WWE vs. ECW battle line was officially drawn at One Night Stand.  Eric Bischoff and the SmackDown roster showed up ready for a fight. Bad idea when they are in the middle of a rapid ECW crowd and locker room. Things turned intensely personal when JBL delivered a receipt and legitimately jumped The Blue Meanie during the brawl leaving him bloodied and seeking revenge. Tazz made his return after being attacked by Kurt Angle days prior locking in the Tazzmission on Angle and neutralizing him on the spot. Bischoff ultimately ended up eating a gauntlet of finishers: a 3-D, a 619, a flying headbutt and finally a Stone Cold Stunner. One Night Stand 2005 was pure chaos and magic.

“I've seen brutality… I've seen calamity…I've seen bloodshed... and I damn near o.d.'d on violence!" 2005 ECW One Night Stand. When the SmackDown locker room tried to crash the party. Stone Cold Steve Austin turned on the invaders and sided with the ECW faithful. Pure Austin

I feel simultaneously offended, heard, and excited by this possibility.

A police talk show is already an unusual premise, but SNL’s “Cop Talk” pushes the format into comedy by treating law enforcement like daytime entertainment. The interesting part is the collision between a job associated with public authority and a show built to keep an audience entertained. Once those priorities mix, the conversation becomes its own spectacle.

ariana grande impersonating jennifer lawrence so well that even the real j-law might need a second to recognize herself “i’m just, like, a snack-aholic, every day is my cheat day.”

🔥 WOW! Indiana Fever's Sophie Cunningham just fully ignored the transgender left and threw her support behind the viral female athletes who WALKED OFF IN PROTEST of being forced to compete with a male CUNNINGHAM: "GOOD WORK GIRLS." 👏🏻 GOOD. Don't DIGNIFY transgender bullsht! Some had "Keep women in women's sports" painted on their bodies The runner in question started the season on the BOYS JV team and finished 76th in a boys race in September Three weeks later, after switching to the girls' side, that same runner placed SECOND out of 195 😡 @Riley_Gaines_ also threw her full support behind the girls. DEMS ARE ANTI-WOMAN

Jason Becker was one of the most gifted guitarists of his generation. At 20 he joined David Lee Roth’s band, then ALS struck, and doctors gave him five years. More than 35 years later, he’s still here, composing with his eyes. In 2024, Nita Strauss gathered 20+ guitar heroes for a benefit track built on one of his old demos, with his own solo left in. All for the Jason Becker Special Needs Trust.
