@CP24 Like I said before and I will say it again, I won't wear a mask anymore. Isn't 2 and a half years enough? I respect those who still wear it and please respect those who choose not to wear masks. Society has become so disrespectful and divided. It's ridiculous. Be kind

@calphonso The only thing this article proves is that there are a lot of people suffering with major mental health issues that have been greatly exacerbated by fear mongering and lockdowns. We need to end school closures and lockdowns once and for all.

@krushowy @TorontoStar @RosaJSaba No debate here. I’ll take the advise of Ontario’s Children’s hospitals over the teachers unions and opposition parties. Kids need in person learning. Parents who are not comfortable are welcome to keep their kids home.

@krushowy @TorontoStar @RosaJSaba If you are scared to send your kids to school keep them home. If daycares are open there is zero justification to close schools when ECE’s are working with unvaccinated unmasked kids without N95, hepa filters, etc. Daycares and schools are BOTH essential.

@krushowy @TorontoStar @RosaJSaba Kids need to be back in school. Previous school closures were disastrous for kids, especially young kids who can't look at a screen all day. It was disastrous for families who can't stay home from work, for kids from abusive homes, and for those who need in-school services.

@krushowy @TorontoStar @RosaJSaba Omicron is a game changer. There isn’t test supply or workers to keep up with our former testing and contact tracing. It makes sense to use the tests for those at highest risk of severe illness and death. Schools are low risk for spread and for severe outcomes.

@krushowy @TorontoStar @RosaJSaba If schools aren’t “safe” now why were they seemingly safe in September, October, November when Delta - a more severe variant than what we have currently - was dominant, and no kids between the ages of 5-11 were eligible for vaccines? We’re safer now by any reasonable metric.

@krushowy @TorontoStar @RosaJSaba No division here. My family can’t wait for kids to go back and no irrational fear here. This isn’t March 2020 or April 2021. We have vaccines, and a much milder variant. Boards are allowing for virtual, make your own risk assessment and choose that !

@imgrund I wonder how many who said “no” happily had their kids at hockey tournaments over the holidays or traveled outside of Canada. I know of many families who did both and now say “ nope, too risky to send my kids to school”. Give me a break.
