Want more profits? Just raise your prices, right? Well, maybe. But it’s not that simple. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution to price. Sales velocity, ranking, total profits and more must be factored into your pricing strategy. #sales #pricing #amazon

Had a chance to meet and learn from @Codie_Sanchez at @ezrafirestone Blue Ribbon Mastermind in Puerto Rico. Her frame work for buying businesses and building platforms is 🔥 🔥 🔥 One key takeaway... Any business that: - You buy from regularly (biggest expenses) - Competes with you - Pays you regularly Consider acquiring them...brilliant!

Don’t read this post! Just kidding. Reverse psychology. I just had the privilege of speaking at @ezrafirestone Blue Ribbon Mastermind. I laid out 7 ad copy tests to create irresistible ads. Most ads are VERY resistible. Or invisible. Or confusing. Or like every other ad. A couple of highlights: 1. Are your ads unique to you or could your competitors say the same thing? (scratch out, write in test). 2. Do your ads stir up emotions? (physical reaction test). 3. Do your ads overcome key objections? If not, no one will click! (lingering objections test).

What is your unique positioning? Figure out your identity and stick with it. Ultimately you’re building relationships. Your positioning and identity help drive those relationships. Stay true to who you are as a brand. #branding #ecommerce #digitalmarketing

During his prime, Michael Jordan made about 3 million dollars per year as a player. Nowadays, the "Jordan" brand pays him in excess of 100 million per year in royalties. There is power in building an enduring brand! #ecommerce #brand #digitalmarketing

Ginsu Knives 🔪 I vividly remember seeing this commercial as a 13-year-old kid in the early 90s. Believe it or not, the ad had already been running for over 15 years by then! Here are some lessons from this iconic commercial (you can find the link in the description): It SHOWS rather than just tells. With one swift motion, it slices through a can of Pepsi, followed by a flawless cut through a tomato. It adds drama with magical demos. We’re left thinking - I’ve never seen a knife like it! It made famous the “but wait…there’s more” ending. At the end, you kind of have to talk yourself out of picking up the phone or jumping online to order. Side note: I also remember thinking, “I wonder who makes these ads” when I watched it. Little did I know it was the first sign I was destined for a life in marketing! Disappointing side note: Recently, I purchased a rental house, and to my surprise, I found a set of Ginsu knives left behind by the previous owner. I had never actually seen a set in person. These were actually pretty crappy. LOL.

Closers often get all of the love and attention. But what would we do without setters? We’re tempted to give all of the glory to search ads, when YouTube and Facebook are the “setters” making the sale possible in the first place.

Be less wrong. I heard this advice regarding data and analytics from a mentor. The point is you'll never have perfect data. You'll never know FULLY why one thing worked and another didn't. But you can be less wrong. This presents both a challenge to get smarter and acknowledge that we must make decisions with imperfect data. This applies to business and life. Don't waste time striving for perfection. Try to get better! Be less wrong.

This is the strategy that can 2X your ROAS with $0 upfront. The exact step-by-step plan is right here. If it worked for us, it'll work for you too.

Sometimes we forget to ask the question - what are we great at RIGHT NOW…and how do we do more of that? Doubling down on what’s already working is almost always more productive than chasing the next big thing. Stay true to who your business is. #digitalmarketing #ecommerce

I love Sellers Summit! @mywifequit and @ToniHerrbach have a knack for attracting super smart brand owners and founders. As the father of 8, Steve's new book "The Family First Entrepreneur" resonates with me for obvious reasons. AND...I got to bring Sophia (11) along on this amazing trip. As one of 8 kids, she doesn't get a lot of one-on-one attention, so this has been a true blessing for us both!

Intentionally spend time with people smarter than you.🧠 I love the advice that if you’re the smartest in the room, you’re probably in the wrong room. I just got to hang out with @spencerjan (founder of Solo Stove), @youderian (Ecommerce Fuel), and @mepstein311 (Post Pilot). Three seriously SMART dudes! (Look at how dumbfounded I am that Andrew Youderian wanted to hang out with me).

You have to give up all social media platforms except for 1 to grow your network and your brand. What are you choosing and why? LinkedIn for me. Then Facebook/IG 2nd. LI is my go-to both for industry info AND for connecting. I’m trying to love Twitter…but not there yet. Though I do get sucked into the occasional thread.

How do you consume books? What's your go-to and why?

Who do you know that's great at creating YouTube thumbnails?

Little price changes up or down can make a huge difference. A 10% increase in price could actually double your profits. Pricing strategy matters? How are you thinking about pricing now in a world of inflation? Loved having @mywifequit on the podcast! If you haven't already, check out his new book, 'The Family First Entrepreneur.' It's a must-read!

One of my favorite pieces of marketing advice is to “join the conversation taking place in your customer’s heads.” To do this you have to understand: the questions, the desires, the fears, and the hopes banging around in the head of your prospects. Once you understand that, you can use elements of that conversation in your videos, emails, or posts. It’s always best to use the same language your customers use and appeal to their beliefs, wants, and desires. For instance: • Tired of your utility bill growing year after year? How high do you think it will be in 5 years? What if you could lock in today’s rate? (Solar Company) • Ever wonder why you wake up sore? It’s not your fault. (Mattress Company) • Back hurt? Check your feet. (Orthotics Company)
