🚨 🇷🇴BREAKING: ROMANIA: GEORGE SIMION DECLARES AUR READY TO GOVERN A significant development in Romania this morning. George Simion has emerged from formal talks with President Nicușor Dan with an uncompromising message: “AUR assumes the responsibility of governing.” And his position is clear: AUR will not vote for any government it is not part of. After months of political crisis, AUR is no longer simply demanding change from the opposition benches. It is demanding a seat at the table. Simion says Romania needs a government capable of governing for four years and that AUR is prepared to become “part of the solution.” He has also rejected pressure for AUR to step aside and warned that if Parliament cannot produce a government, Romania should return to the voters. There is no confirmed agreement yet on ministries or the next Prime Minister, so claims that portfolios have already been divided should be treated cautiously. But something important is happening in Bucharest. George Simion and AUR are now openly positioning themselves to move from opposition into government. 🇷🇴🇬🇧 GREAT TO SPEND TIME WITH GEORGE SIMION IN DUBROVNIK A real pleasure to meet again with George Simion, President of Romania’s Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) and one of the leading figures in Europe’s growing conservative and sovereignty movement. George has built AUR into a major force in Romanian politics and continues to argue for national sovereignty, democratic accountability, family, faith, freedom and the preservation of national identity. What is happening in Romania matters far beyond Romania. Across Europe, millions of people increasingly feel that too much political power has moved away from national electorates and towards distant institutions that are too often insulated from the consequences of their decisions. George has been one of the most prominent voices challenging that direction and arguing that European cooperation should respect the sovereignty of nations rather than erase it.
