In his Friday Sermon, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad announced the martyrdom of a 45-year-old Ahmadi Muslim father killed by Israeli forces in Gaza. Palestinian convert Abdul Kareem Jamal Jodeh from Jabalia in the Gaza Strip accepted Ahmadiyyat in 2013. He assisted his father in construction works. He created a metals workshop which was decimated by Israeli attacks. He joined crowds seeking food aid, and neared Israeli territory, when Israeli forces started intense firing and shot an individual. When Abdul Kareem went to assist him, he too was shot in the chest and killed. His brother relates that he was a truthful person. He faced many difficulties but remained firm on his faith. Before dying, he professed his faith in Islam and died as a true believer. He was a sincere and loyal Ahmadi Muslim. He leaves behind a widow, 4 daughters and 2 sons. The eldest child is 16. The youngest is 2 and a half. His Holiness prayed that may Allah protect his children and elevate his rank.

It was an honour to attend the 47th Jalsa Salana hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Canada. This annual gathering highlights the values of peace and service and celebrates the incredible contributions of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community to our province.

Code of Conduct for Enrolling in Jamia Ahmadiyya   When students enrolled in Jamia, he provided them with a code of conduct emphasising the importance of spiritual discipline. He advised offering Tahajjud prayer every day and urged residents of Rabwah to attend at least one congregational prayer in Masjid Mubarak. His son narrated that he had immense love for Allah, praying fervently and weeping deeply. He maintained a close relationship with Allah, often writing ‘Allah’ in his notebook and diary. During illness, he heard the greeting ‘Assalamu Alaikum’ and advised, “First, pray for nearness to Allah.”   (Friday Sermon, 16th May 2025)

"It seems as if the world is standing at the brink of destruction." In his Friday Sermon today, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad urged prayers for the state of the world, especially the tensions between Pakistan and India. His Holiness mentioned that Pakistan says it had nothing to do with the attack in Kashmir, and that any investigation should happen by the United Nations rather than starting a conflict. India's government should also show a positive approach to this. His Holiness said: "When war happens, then both sides suffer, and not only soldiers, but the general public and innocents are needlessly killed. This is what we are seeing in the wars today. This is what is happening everywhere." He prayed that Allah bring an end to these conflicts, protect the innocent and oppressed, and give sense to governments so they resolve issues through reconciliation and peace rather than war. "Only Allah can save the world from destruction, and this can only happen when it turns to God. May Allah enable them to do so."

🇵🇰🇧🇩 Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba) also instructed prayers for the Ahmadis of Pakistan and Bangladesh. "The conditions for Ahmadis in Pakistan are also worsening a great deal. Pray for them as well and also the Ahmadis in Bangladesh who are also facing great hardships. May Allah the Almighty bestow His mercy and grace on all of them."
