I am dismayed that Govt isn't introducing relief for freelancers & self-employed, the lifeblood of the #creativeindustries. #COVID19 could drive a generation of working class talent out of our sector. All options should be on the table incl a temporary #UniversalBasicIncome. 2/2

Since I sent this letter the Chancellor has announced further support for small businesses, incl creative venues. This is welcome, but the devil is in the detail. I will be examining the Govt's measures & consulting with venues on what needs to happen next to protect them. 1/2
