HORRIFIC: A Florida woman has been arrested after a 3-month-old baby died from multiple blunt-force injuries, and investigators say the infant’s wounds were consistent with the massive square-shaped ring she was wearing. Polk County deputies arrested 42-year-old Jessica Vlasac of Lakeland on an aggravated child abuse charge following the infant’s death. According to the arrest affidavit, Vlasac initially claimed she accidentally fell asleep with the baby and later woke to find him face down, cold, and unresponsive. But the medical examiner reportedly found three separate impact injuries to the infant’s head, along with subdural hemorrhaging, and concluded there was NO evidence that co-sleeping caused the death.

A Democrat San Francisco judge appointed by Jerry Brown is still saying the N-word out loud in court after Black public defenders asked him to stop. ⠀ Superior Court Judge Harry Dorfman, who is white, has told lawyers the slur is “the facts of the case” when it shows up in evidence.
