I've told you. Two creative ball-to-feet wingers with one runner CF, with Ødegaard behind them. Examples: ✅Trossard x Gyökeres x Saka (undefeated starting lineup last season. 12 wins, 1 draw) ✅Eze x Gyökeres x Saka (also undefeated whenever this is a starting lineup, low sample size, though) ✅Eze x Gyökeres x Dowman (low sample size, but also undefeated as a starting lineup) This is the recipe to victory. Our most potent profiles need to be optimised. Not saying other profiles can't work, but the creative wingers + runner striker works best.
Forcing Madueke to play LW (which is fine but suboptimal for him) just because you want to shove Havertz into the lineup and you know Eze x Havertz x Saka is slow. This is Pep-level stubbornness. You could have just rested Havertz. Eze can play as a creative ball-to-feet LW.

A striker who stays high in the half-space, being physical with the CB but also having the technique to lay off brilliantly for another player.

Saka Injury Report ❌ Saka was subbed off after only minutes against Bayern. He attempted a wide pass but didn't strike the ball cleanly, seeming to injure the lateral quadriceps (vastus lateralis). He immediately signaled to the bench and appeared devastated, often a sign of a non-minor injury. Likely a grade 2-3 muscular strain. Grade 1: a few weeks. Grade 2: 1-2 months. Grade 3: several months. Saka likely out until after the IB break. Well likely get more news in the coming day or two as he’ll have a scan tomorrow.
Don't know how and why Arsenal got that reputation of theirs in England but everything I've seen from them suggests the opposite

Arsenal lack of pace makes them less of a threat in end to end games. We saw it against Brighton, we’re seeing it against Bayern now. Bayern have used both Gnabry and Davies smartly. Now we miss Gyokeres and Martinelli who helped Arsenal well in last season UCL league phase.
I struggle with this. I agree with 99% of the submission as the pitch is undoubtedly smaller and players are far better athletes. Also the ultimate enabling environment for a player is space - which there’s far less space now. However, that does not ipso facto translate to “players are more technical now” I do believe the average player now is clearly more technical than the average player from before (largely obviously due to advances in coaching) However, at the top end, (the 1% of the elite) is where I struggle to agree. Something as simple as free kicks for example. There’s far fewer top level free kick takers now compared to back in the day. That’s a purely skill based thing, yet there’s a clear decline Tricks and flicks, the average dribbler today is far more reliant on their physical gifts to get passed their marker (even in isolated 1v1 situations) than they are reliant on just mesmeric ball manipulation (not quite as technical) Etc etc So need more substantiation to reach a conclusion of “Ekitike > Bergkamp”
