According to @OSDE_UNE, an unexpected outage of the Antonio Guiteras thermoelectric power plant caused a national power outage in #Cuba at 09:14 local time (13:14 UTC). The impact is clearly visible in the drop in Internet traffic starting at that time. radar.cloudflare.com/traffic/cu?dat…

The latest round of scheduled #Internet shutdowns intended to prevent exam cheating in the #Kurdistan region of #Iraq concluded today. Starting 23-Aug, networks including KorekTel, IQ Online, KNET, and Newroz Telecom were impacted. Shutdown days marked with an ❌ in the graph.
Another view of the impact: Network probes show avg. New Delhi - London latency grew ~20% & Bombay - Frankfurt grew ~30% starting 5-Sept ~23:00 UTC. Avg. latency remains high nearly two days later. Stable latency line at the bottom of the graph is the @Cloudflare backbone.
