𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋-𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄. Cribbs 1-1 Westfields. The points are shared at Cribbs. The hosts struck straight after the restart to take the lead, before Mike McGrath was shown a red card, leaving the 'Fields with a battle on their hands. But Westfields kept going and were rewarded with a penalty, which Ben Tilbury calmly converted to bring us level. A point on the road after a hard-fought afternoon. #FieldsTogether🟣🔵

𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐔𝐆𝐎𝐔𝐓 | 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐘 𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐒 Following Saturday’s 1-1 draw away at Cribbs, manager Danny Janes reflects on a frustrating afternoon, the moments that changed the game and the missed opportunities that ultimately cost the 'Fields all three points. 🎙️ We created a number of good chances in the first half without finding the breakthrough. How did you assess our performance before the break? 🗣️ First half proved difficult as Cribbs sat in a very defensive shape that gave them numbers behind the ball. Full credit to them as they kept their shape really well and every player stuck to their script. We had to be patient but it was important to play with intensity. I felt we did okay first half, Cribbs broke twice and we dealt with those moments. We got into some really good areas but were wasteful in wide positions or when we entered their box. We create an unbelievable chance and don't take it, if we score that the game looks different. 🎙️ The goal straight after half-time and the red card changed the complexion of the game. How difficult was it to manage the game from that point, and what did you make of the team's response? 🗣️ The way the players started the second half summed up the goal. We spoke about attitude being so important when we turn over possession. We gave the ball away cheaply two times before the goal and got away with it, we then turn it over a third time and their player runs past two ours to overload their attack which they score from. I was frustrated with the lack of game understanding from the team. You have to adapt in game and recognise what the game needs. We had more width in the second half yet we had players who drifted into the middle of the pitch where the traffic was, we continually tried to play into those tight spaces and Cribbs would pinch it and break with pace. The red card didn't really impact the game as we still dominated, yes on transition we had one less player but their attacks were a result of us losing possession softly. 🎙️ We showed resilience to get back on level terms and take a point away from home. Overall, how do you reflect on the performance and the result? 🗣️ The only positive I can take from the game was that we never lost, that is all I can take. A simple reflection is we got into great areas and we wasted opportunities to create chances, whether that was in wide areas or combinations around the box. When we did create chances, and we created so many, the players who had the chances were simply not good enough in front of goal and it has cost us. Cribbs could have won the game themselves at the end as they had a big chance. We did enough to win the game based on chances despite an average performance, no sympathy for the us as if you don't take your moments you get punished. ___________ Plenty to reflect on after a frustrating afternoon on the road. Thank you to Danny for his honest assessment. #FieldsTogether🟣🔵

𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐅-𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 Cribbs 0-0 Westfields A positive first half from the 'Fields, who have created plenty of chances but are yet to find the breakthrough. Bailey has gone close on a couple of occasions, while Taylor-Randle and Baldwin have also threatened, as the 'Fields have continued to cause problems in the box. All square at the break. Come on, 'Fields! #FieldsTogether🟣🔵

𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐔𝐆𝐎𝐔𝐓 | 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐘 𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐒 🎙️ Following Tuesday night's important three points against Pershore Town, manager Danny Janes reflects on a fiercely contested encounter, the tactical approach behind the performance and the character shown by the 'Fields to secure back-to-back league wins. 🎙️ Pershore were always going to be a tough test, particularly with the familiarity between the sides. How important was it to stick to our own game plan, handle the occasion and make sure we came away with the result? 🗣️ We spoke to the players before the game around the rivalry and the build-up. The key message was to not play with emotions; there had to be a tactical focus and a game understanding. I thought in the first half the players epitomised that, as they were excellent tactically. The game was fast-paced and relentless, and I think it was a great game to watch. They had some real big moments, like ourselves, and their energy in the second half put them on the front foot. I thought you saw two teams with contrasting styles but both with a clear identity. Credit to Adam for the way he has coached his team. We were deserved winners and, in terms of quality, we were far superior. The game had that added intensity as it was a bit of a cup final for a few people at Pershore. It was clear some of the spectators were desperate for my side to lose. We needed those three points to back up the three we picked up at Bradford. Everyone seems to be picking points up from each other, so back-to-back wins are so important. 🎙️ We looked dangerous going forward at times tonight and scored two good goals, but there were also plenty of opportunities to extend our lead. How would you assess our overall attacking performance, and is there still another level we can reach in that area? 🗣️ We changed shape to a system I really like, and now with Bailey with us and a few players coming back from injury, we can play it. Tactically, I felt we got it spot on in the first half and adjusted in the second half when Pershore really came onto us. We were a constant threat in the first half and opened Pershore up numerous times. We still need to improve because we had some big chances throughout the game. 🎙️ After Pershore got themselves back on level terms, we responded well to regain the lead, but had to defend that advantage under pressure late on. How pleased were you with the way we managed the different phases of the game, and what does that tell you about where this group is at right now? 🗣️ Pershore fully deserved their equaliser because of how intense they were in the second half, and they had some big moments themselves in the first half. The momentum then swings with them when they score, but we showed character to stay in the game because we had to soak up a lot of pressure. Balders then does what Balders does and creates the second to give us that lift we needed. I think we could have managed parts of that second half better, as when we were under pressure, we didn’t look after the ball well enough, and the small details in terms of decision-making made it difficult for us. Players have been questioned over the last few weeks around their mindset and that winning mentality, but I can’t question those areas at the moment. It’s an important three points, and it takes three away from a team who I’m sure fancy themselves to be right up there. We have to back this result up now on Saturday, as football has a habit of stinging you. The players have to hit their levels again and earn the right to win a game of football. ─────────── A big thank you to everyone who made the trip to back the lads on Tuesday night. Your support means everything. Back-to-back wins secured. Now we go again together on Saturday. #FieldsTogether🟣🔵

𝐅𝐔𝐋𝐋-𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄. Pershore Town 1-2 Westfields A huge three points on the road for the 'Fields! Baldwin got us off to the perfect start with a superb finish in the first half, before Pershore levelled after the break. The response was exactly what we needed, with Dallaway on hand to tap home and restore our lead. The lads dug deep in the closing stages, stood firm under pressure and saw the game out to take all three points back to Allpay Park! A massive effort from everyone in claret and blue. #FieldsTogether🟣🔵

62' GOAL! DALLAWAY Great ball from Gregan into Taylor-Randle’s run, who finds Baldwin to slide it across for a back-post tap-in! 1-2 #FieldsTogether🟣🔵

𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐅-𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄. Pershore Town 0-1 Westfields The 'Fields head into the break with a 1-0 lead thanks to Baldwin’s superb finish! Westfields have created further opportunities, with Baldwin denied one-on-one by the keeper and Bailey firing over after a long throw from Hunt. Plenty to build on. Let’s keep it going in the second half! #FieldsTogether🟣🔵

10' GOAL! BALDWIN. Great work from Sibanda in the build-up before Baldwin produces a superb finish from the left-hand side! #FieldsTogether🟣🔵

𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 | 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐍 A strong and committed performance from Chris Gregan in our FA Vase tie against Desborough Town, putting in a shift from start to finish and earning himself today’s Man of the Match award. 👏 Well deserved, Chris! PLAYER SPONSORS: DRM Bus & Axiski #FieldsTogether🟣🔵

𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐔𝐆𝐎𝐔𝐓 | 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐘 𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐒 🎙️ Following this afternoon's FA Vase exit on penalties against Desborough Town, manager Danny Janes reflects on a closely contested tie, the positives to take from the performance and the challenge awaiting the 'Fields on Tuesday night. 🎙️ When a cup tie goes all the way to penalties, there's obviously a lot riding on those final moments. What did you make of the character the lads showed out there, and how difficult is it to see their efforts end this way? 🗣️ I didn’t think we deserved to lose the game. Yes, we could have done more to win, but I felt we were the better team. We had the better moments but just lacked the quality in the final action. Full credit to Desborough, as it was a very close and competitive game. I was really pleased with the levels reached in difficult conditions. Of course, we are really disappointed to lose the game. 🎙️ There’ll be a lot of frustration in the dressing room after going out on penalties. What’s the message to the players now, and how important is it that they stick together and respond as a group? 🗣️ The message was that they delivered a performance that deserved more from the game. Some of the elements we have needed to improve, we saw that today. We have work to do, we have results we need to get. Thriving under pressure is always my message. 🎙️Attention now turns to Pershore, a club you know well and one that a few of our lads have also represented. Does that added familiarity make Tuesday’s league fixture any different for you personally, and how much are you looking forward to going up against your former side? 🗣️ No difference on Tuesday. It will be great to see some familiar faces. What we achieved at Pershore created memories that I hope will stay with people for a long time. We need three points. It’s another opportunity to perform and to try to get those points. We need everyone at their level and above if we are to get the result we want. ─────────── A big thank you to all the supporters who backed the lads today. Your support means everything. We go again TOGETHER on Tuesday at Pershore. #FieldsTogether🟣🔵
