As McGill erases their response to Covid (except they'll keep masks and handwashing available for a few months, to those who want them) right now today, more people are hospitalized with Covid in QC, than during 95% the time since March 2020. The hospitals are overwhelmed.

You know what would really help students this exam season? HEPA filters in the exam rooms.
MOHs: mask mandates or your resignation.
To have this kind of epidemiological situation in the #mcgill200 community and send students into in-person final exams in just a few weeks is unbelievable and dangerous. We need to take steps to protect our community!

@Joshwerbs With 2 weeks until exams begin at #McGill200 there is time to move all exams online. @mcgillu missed opportunity in December, contributing to first Omicron wave. It should do better now, especially with on-campus infections at a pandemic high — 10 times higher than in 2020-21.
Imagine you're a student in a 100+ person class with little to no distancing. You read about ~500 weekly cases on campus. Would you be anxious? What if you lived with an at-risk family member? We need widespread alternatives to in person attendance, and we need them yesterday.
