This #GivingTuesday, it is crucial to remember the importance of helping our community. I'd like to express my gratitude to the @Browns for their incredible partnership and volunteering efforts at the @CleFoodBank, as food insecurity is a significant issue to address in our city.

Tonight, Council passed my proposal from last month to provide CPD with their largest pay increase in the City’s modern history. These increases, as part of our RISE initiative, prove Cleveland’s commitment to public safety and our police force. Increases take effect 1/1/24.

Yesterday, @MayorBibb joined the @Browns at @CleFoodBank to help provide food for those in need throughout our city. Thank you to @BrownsGiveBack for bringing a happy Thanksgiving to many in Cleveland.

This latest amendment will help attract additional candidates to join our police force who may have previously not considered doing so.

As part of our RISE initiative, my administration proposes an amendment to a city ordinance from 2012 which capped the maximum age of cadets appointed to the Cleveland Division of Police at 40 years old. This proposal, if passed, would raise this age to 55 years old.
