This kind of thing is not okay. Drumming up support from management and HR to get people fired over ideology is one of the very scummiest things I can imagine a fellow employee doing. Whoever has done this, shame on you. I hope you feel shame in your heart for a very long time.

being in tech over the 10s and through covid as a relatively free thinking 4chan user was awful. at one of the companies I worked at previously, an employee attempted to start a slack mob linking people who said "fren", claiming that they were 4chan users and therefore racist
