God doesn’t call us to find a power within ourselves to overcome the issues we face in this life. He calls us to put on His armor because we're facing a battle. And His weapons aren’t silly spiritual suggestions that might or might not work. His weapons are certain. Eph. 6:13-18
How can we face hurt upon hurt, disappointment upon disappointment, longsuffering upon longsuffering, & still run our race with oxygen filling our lungs, peace filling our minds, & joy filling our hearts? We keep our eyes on Jesus. He will show us how to endure. Hebrews 12:1-3
People are always going to criticize when we start living differently. Sometimes our environment wants to pull us back. But Jesus sets us free forever.
The decisions we make, make the life we live. Help us remember how true this is, Lord. Show us where the key to living better is deciding better. And help us make choices today that will point our lives in the direction You want us to go.
Trusting the Lord to be our Shepherd can be hard. We want control. We want answers. And we most certainly don't want to go to hard places. So how do we keep following Him when the way gets difficult? Read more in my devotion "Why Did God Lead Me Here?": proverbs31.org/read/devotions…
Most of us spend years chasing things that we think will make us feel loved. But everything this world has to offer is temporary. Everything. The kind of love our souls crave is lasting, eternal. And only God can fill us with that kind of love.
Sometimes the darkness feels so big. But God promises us that it won’t be like this forever. There is a day coming with… …no more tears ... no more fear … no more pain … no more heartache … no more darkness
Are there any unknowns in your life currently stealing your peace & keeping you up at night? Here’s a simple soul declaration we can make tonight: Lord, because You know all things, I can rest safely in the knowledge that I don’t have to know everything. #TrustworthyStudy
The calling ahead of you is greater than the offenses behind you.
Your private PAIN often develops you for your public CALLING.
If God said it he will do it. No one can stop it. Rest. Trust. Expect. Hope. Wait.
We can’t stop or control things that roll our way any more than we can stop the water’s edge. But we can make the minute-by-minute choice to let our souls rest in God. We don't have to understand; we just have to trust.
The next step is on you.
Don't forget this: God is for you.

God can handle all of the things we know we can’t. He is our possible in the midst of what can sometimes feel so impossible. And we can place our hope in Him. “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” Psalm 25:5
