Access to banking remains one of the clearest practical barriers facing UK crypto and digital asset firms. The Crypto & Digital Assets APPG @cryptoappg is taking evidence on account closures, restricted services, delays and other banking issues. Two weeks left to submit: cryptouk.io/resources/cryp…

Charities do not need to become digital asset experts before they can begin exploring crypto donations. Aidan Alberico explains how experienced infrastructure partners such as @LMAX can help charities navigate both the technological and governance considerations involved. That means working with fundraising, finance, treasury and compliance teams to understand how donations will be received, screened, converted and recorded—and ensuring the approach reflects the charity’s own risk appetite. The right partner can help make crypto fundraising more accessible without requiring charities to build every capability internally. Watch the full webinar: buff.ly/vPgV6to

The FCA has now set the rules for admitting cryptoassets to UK trading platforms and tackling market abuse. I will be moderating a CryptoUK discussion on 30 July about what the rules mean in practice and how firms can prepare for authorisation. luma.com/badpfqll?tk=2x…

In my work at @CryptoUKAssoc, banking access is repeatedly raised as a practical constraint on legitimate firms. The APPG is seeking evidence on its scale, causes and possible solutions. Written submissions close 31 August 2026. cryptouk.io/resources/cryp…

I can't help but feel like this @michael_saylor is just the start of what is to come. Every major company is sitting on a block of melting fiat ice. Thanks @APompliano for the great content. #phase5 #Bitcoin

My conversation with @michael_saylor is now on YouTube. We discuss how he built MicroStrategy, what his $500 million dilemma earlier this year was, and why he chose to put more than $400 million into Bitcoin with the company's balance sheet. Enjoy :) youtu.be/WrR95PFYDFQ

For a true solution, we should return to Hume's advice: Run surpluses so you maintain the resources to survive shocks like COVID. This was the approach before Keynesian economics took over & its no surprise that this is how the most successful people in biz & life behave too/END

True MMT (debt monetisation) is the only path to hyperinflation. In this world, inflation ↑, productivity ↓, people convert financial assets to commodities and we return to a form of barter system with double coincidence of wants 💀 No form of mild deflation is worse than this.

Every now and then you find an interview that needs to be listened to again and again. @ErikSTownsend's interview with Dr Lacy Hunt on @MacroVoices is one such example. Profound insights from a great man that I had to reduce and summarise to deepen my own understanding. A thread:
