Albo visited trauma on a woman who had already suffered abuse at the hands of other men. All this has been excused, as men in this country are repeatedly excused of their violence against women, because they are "good blokes" who are liked in the community.
When asked in an interview about his incident with Sarah, saying the day had been emotional for her - the tired old trope of the emotional woman. Albo abused his power & position in society to take down a "defiant woman" who "forgot her place."
Watching a vulnerable, young, 1st Nations woman cry in the arms of her comrades, then continuing to speak as though all is fine & dandy. Callous disregard for her trauma at the least. At the worst, possible satisfaction that she's learned her place.
"I'm the prime minister!" Asserting his authority & power over Sarah when she asked if he should speak. Lying about his prior contact with WWYW about the rally. What purpose did his blatant defaming of Sarah have other than to "teach her who's boss & don't you forget it"?
I'm furiously disappointed in those left wingers who ignore the red flags in his behaviour cos he's on their fav political team. Where's your moral fibre? You know damn well you'd be condemning his actions if he was Dutton or Morrison. Your team is more important than the cause.
Other than a photo op for himself & ensuing media attention for himself, what material action has he committed to for the well-being of women in this country? Oh, a national cabinet. Whoopdedo. I wonder what paper, committee or royal commission will come from that? 🙄

There's a lot of criticism of Sarah who organised the women's march around how she behaved, and I think people wilfully overlook that both the women's march and March4Justice were organised by very ordinary people who found themselves in an extraordinary position. 1/
