*$3,660* per shift Wild to see the city and its subcontracted "affiliate" employers spending wild sums of money to cover a strike when they're so unwilling to negotiate in good faith. They should instead be paying to adequately staff our hospitals with a fair and safe contract.

Although the doctors’ salaries are funded by the city, they are directly employed by private affiliates of NYC Health and Hospitals. That means they are not subject to the city’s Taylor Law, which prohibits public employees from going on strike: bit.ly/423gAWn
