Here's a very unique red sandstone sculpture from Lucknow Museum which shows Shree Kartikeya trying to steal laddoos from Shree Ganesha, 4th c. CE, Gupta Era. This stunning depiction is unique in its naturalistic treatment of figures & uses arched postures to vividly bring a playful moment between the two brothers to life. Sadly, bhagwan Kartikeya's face has been brutally desecrated.

As a child, she made diyas for God. Then she began making clay toys. Visiting temples, she became fascinated by the idols of Ganesha, Shiva and other deities. Slowly, she began creating them herself, using her hands to feel every curve, shape and tiny detail. People told her that being blind made her useless. She turned those taunts into fuel. “If a normal person can do anything, so can I,” she told herself. Today, her hands create idols that others can only admire. Her family supports her. Her community, after seeing her art, began supporting her too. Anjali’s story is not about what she lost. It is about everything she refused to let herself lose. When I was in 8th, I blew a fuse at home while playing with circuit boards. Connected 5v DC motor directly to an electric board. That day my father got scared and scolded me to not do experiments like this anymore. When an electrician came to my house to repair anything, I asked him so many questions out of interest that he faded up many times. But I never stoped experimenting with electronics. Sometimes, I got shocks too ;) When I started my engineering, I used to bunk class and go to electronic lab. Working on projects. In my 2nd year, made a portable ECG device (no readymade modules) at 800 rupees. At that time, my professor tested it thoroughly and impressed with what I made. He told me to take admission into IITs, for Masters. If I really want to make something big. Gave GATE exams two times and failed. - 1st time, I didn't qualified with 0.83 marks. - 2nd time, I got COVID. Had severe health issues. - 3rd time, I emailed to an IIT Madras professor who was working on optics and accepting MS admission without GATE. Didn't accepted my application. After that, I was lost. Didn't know what to do. Tried to apply for jobs. Didn't accepted as companies wanted only sales people at that time. I had just one thing in my mind. - Wanted to make something, execute it in the market and see people using it. While making specialised COVID Ventilators with a company, I got an idea for RespiCOz. That evening, I just called my professor and said with clear mind that I am going to make this. I was so clear that I had just one goal. I want to execute this. During that time, I found that Gujarat Government was funding startups for building things. I immediately incorporated the company and started applying for those grants. That's how Brainiac Healthcare started. And got some government grants (From State and Central Gov both). After 3 years of iteration, testing and approvals, we launched our first version of RespiCOz (in Aug 2024). Early days were difficult. The adoption rate was low. I lost some confidence. But after 5-6 months, we started seeing reference orders. The sales started booming. Today, RespiCOz is present in 3+ countries, have more than 300+ Installations. While scaling RespiCOz, I again lost myself what I am going to build next. RespiCOz could be just a start to a big thing. Not the end. While working on RespiCOz datapoints and reading some research papers, found that we haven't explored respiratory care at its full potential. We can do a lot, if we use intelligence. That's how we got an idea for Zapien (@ZapienLife ). Now, we are on a mission to explore respiratory care and give humanity a new perspective of care. Think, just a breath can diagnose your body. Welcoming Ganpati at home is most beautiful thing to do. And its historical significance to Bharat, further makes this festival so exciting for me. The British Empire believed the sun would never set on its power over India. Yet the first shadow across that imperial sun began to gather beneath the feet of Vighnaharta. In Maharashtra, the ancient tradition of worship slowly moved from the household into public life, filling streets with Ganapati, drums, lamps and the resounding cry of Ganapati Bappa Morya. To the British, it could appear to be just a religious celebration. To Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, it offered something far more significant: a way to turn devotion into an instrument of national awakening. Ganapati worship was centuries old, and public forms of the festival existed before Lokmanya Tilak. But in the 1890s, amid a deeply controlled colonial public sphere, Tilak helped transform Ganeshotsav into a vast public institution. Political meetings could be watched, restricted or dispersed. A religious festival was far harder to silence. Its pandals became spaces where speeches were delivered, patriotic songs were sung, historical plays were performed and ideas of swaraj, self-respect and resistance could circulate beneath the cover of devotion. Tilak understood something the British underestimated that an empire does not rule a people just by controlling their institutions. It rules more deeply when it persuades them that resistance is futile. Ganeshotsav challenged that very psychology. The same spirit soon found another expression in the public celebration of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which Tilak promoted from 1895 onward. History, memory and faith were brought into the service of a new political consciousness: if those who came before had resisted overwhelming power, why should their descendants accept subjugation as destiny? That was the deeper significance of Ganeshotsav under the Raj. It weakened something an empire needed even more: the belief that the empire was invincible. The eclipse had begun. And beneath the feet of Vighnaharta, a people were slowly rediscovering the courage to believe that no obstacle, however mighty, was eternal. “Ganapati Bappa Morya” was a cry of devotion. In the age of the Raj, it became the sound of a nation awakening.
