@Pensandpages @UnrealBluegrass Back in 1789 when the Constitution was written, life expectancy was only around 60 years, so they didn't expect anyone to be on the court for 30-40 years like they currently are.
@UnrealBluegrass Well said. Also, we should never have lifetime appointments without a serious code of ethics for justices, with real penalties that incentivize the justices to act ethically. Impeachment is too hard to achieve in today’s political climate.
