Blair never received justice. The police defended the National Front, violently attacking anti-racist protestors when they struck him on the head with what is believed to be an illegal weapon, they then began a cover up during the subsequent investigation. No one was prosecuted.

Blair was a teacher from New Zealand, a member of the Anti-Nazi League (ANL) and a member of the Socialist Workers Party (SWP). He paid the highest price for a fight he didn’t really have to take up for himself, but did so anyway in the defence of others.
