1/ Every decade or so, a generational database emerges that will change how software is built and consumed – from relational databases (Oracle), to document stores (MongoDB), to cloud DW (Snowflake). I believe we’re seeing the next one unfold in front of us - DuckDB.

Ran a gamer survey recently with several thousand gamers across different demos, and this stat stood out to me: 60% of 13-17 year olds rank builders like @Minecraft and @Roblox as one of their favorite games, compared to ~20% of players for 25+

Heartbreaking to see layoffs at @twitter, @stripe, etc and soon @Meta. I survived 5 rounds of layoffs at @zynga/@blizzard as a manager. What I learned: 1. You have 0 control but all accountability 2. Managing through distractions is hard 3. Empathy is a 1-way street 👇
