Last year, Rajapaksa pardoned a soldier who was convicted for murdering of 8 Tamils, including 3 children, by slitting their throats. Today, he pardoned Silva who was sentenced to death for the murder of a former lawmaker. Criminals pardoning criminals on this island. #SriLanka

I was out for a walk with Theo & he was pretty upset that playgrounds are closed. His dad agrees. I will be consulting City Council & our solicitor on whether we can legally decline a provincial order. The medical advice has been clear that outdoor recreation should stay open.

The arrest of #JaffnaMayor by the Sri Lankan gov seems to be a revenge tactic against the UNHRC for setting up an investigation against them. This is wrong, wrong, wrong. They should release all political prisoners & cooperate with the UN to ensure justice for the #TamilGenocide
