Onto Saturday now against Ipswich, a win would make the start to the season really good, performances still leave a lot to the imagination but a results business 🙏🏼

Most Coaches NEVER Teach Players How To Think.
BIG Mistake.
How to coach decision-making, and not just skills:
1. Stop Solving Problems For Them:
Let players make choices on the field.
Mistakes are their teacher, not yours.
2. Use Game-Like Conditions:
Competition, time pressure, transitions.
Players are forced to think fast.
3. Ask Questions, Don’t Tell:
“What can you do here?”
“What’s your next pass?”
Encourage thinking out loud.
4. Use Situational Drills:
2v2s, 3v3s, or match scenarios.
Decision-making doesn't always improve from step-by-step drills.
5. Coach In The Moment, Not After:
Point out poor choices, in the moment.
Don't stop the practice, teach in the game.
6. Encourage Peer Feedback:
Players often see solutions teammates miss.
Teaching each other reinforces thinking, and builds team-leaders.
7. Review Moments Visually:
Record games and pause video clips.
Ask, “What would you do differently?”
Instant understanding.
If your players make the wrong choice at first, that's normal. Accurate decision-making comes from experience
Coach their brains, not just their feet.
