Gold fell $116 today, closing just above $4,000 support. Traders seem to be bracing for a tech wreck and an unwind of the leveraged AI trade. They may be right to expect that, but they're wrong that gold will fall too. Gold already corrected. A stock market crash will be bullish.

Before she joined his team, @judyshel sent Treasury Secretary Bessent a Kwasi Kwarteng piece arguing China could be the first to relink its currency to gold. "It shouldn't be China. It better be the United States," she told @RonStoeferle in our IGWT 2026 interview.

‘Short the dollar’ and hold gold or Bitcoin as inflation erodes wealth – Ledn’s Leeds (Kitco News) – Inflation and jurisdictional risks are serving as powerful examples of the value of alternative assets like gold and #Bitcoin, and the ability to borrow against these non-yielding assets could make them even more attractive in the coming years, according to Adam Leeds, CEO of digital-asset-backed lending platform @hodlwithLedn – which is launching Tether Gold-backed loans in the coming weeks. kitco.com/news/article/2…

The refs missed a lot tonight, including a critical delay of game that wasn’t called against Oregon, but nothing as critical as this non-holding call when Oregon threw the winning touchdown.

During ESPN’s College Gameday at BYU, Pat McAfee read from The Book of Mormon... Reminder that The Bible is the only Word of God. It is our ultimate authority for Faith & practice. Nothing else. Joseph Smith, author of The Book of Mormon, was a false prophet.

"There's not 24 teams in the country that deserve to be in the playoffs ... I don't think there's 24 teams in the country that can win the championship." Nick Saban reiterated his concerns about a potential expansion to a 24-team College Football Playoff in 2027.

If you’re a Christian in AZ, it would be an undeniable SIN for you to vote for a governor who brags about making baby-murder more accessible. She will answer to Christ for the blood on her hands and so will YOU if you use your political power to empower her or people like her.

In 2024, I did what 23 governors and 55 legislatures before me wouldn’t do and repealed Arizona’s draconian 1864 abortion ban. Over these past four years, I haven’t stopped fighting to protect Arizonans’ right to build their families and their futures. I will never back down

Gold stock correction finally enters end phase Indeed, the correction likely already ended back in July. But the decline from the hopeful summer rally does not feel that way. Let’s take a quick technical look and then cover a few fundamental considerations. China is putting a floor under the gold price and most people haven’t noticed. Every time gold dropped China accelerated its purchases. March: 4.98 tons. Gold at $5,400. April: 8.09 tons. Gold at $4,600. May: 9.95 tons. Gold at $4,400. June: 14.93 tons. Gold at $4,200. July: 19.91 tons. Gold at $4,100. August: 20.22 tons. Gold at $4,300. September: 23.02 tons. Gold at $4,300. The lower the price, the more they bought. September marked China’s largest monthly purchase in 3 years. 23 consecutive months of official gold buying is not trading. China is draining physical gold from global markets to build a gold backed financial system to replace the dollar. Retail investors are selling gold because interest rates rose. China is buying every ounce they can find. You need to be stacking gold for what is coming...

Sports fans, in particular, have gotten screwed. With one remote we used to be able to watch everything, now I have eight services, pay way more, and flipping from one game to another is infuriating. We all pay more and get less. Bad combo.

Trump built a durable coalition that would have ruled for 25 years. No other Republican could have done it. Then we did a regime change war in the Middle East 😔

Gold: A rally to $5400 from here? 1. Money continues to flow into sovereign bonds around the world… but what kind of money is it? 2. First, it’s fiat money, and that’s a problem. Second, it’s money that’s aggressively leveraged by hedge funds, which is another big problem. 3. Could the next global crisis be a sovereign debt crisis? ... kitco.com/opinion/2026-1… Commentary by Stewart Thomson

Ron Baron predicts SpaceX will be worth $20 trillion to $50 trillion in 10 years and says Elon Musk thinks that estimate is “way low” “In 10 years, I think it’s going to be thousands of dollars a share. I think it’ll be worth $20 trillion, $30 trillion, $50 trillion. Elon thinks I’m way low, and it’s now $2 trillion. “There are good fundamentals, and this is not pulling numbers out of the air. I think Starlink alone, in the next 10 years, is going to be worth somewhere around $14 trillion or $15 trillion, and it’s still at the very early stages of that growth. “And then the data centers in space—man, that’s unbelievable. You can’t build them on the planet anymore. How large that business is going to be—it’s going to be a multiple of how big Starlink is going to be. “We can talk about the fundamentals there later, but the idea is that I’m thinking we’re going to make at least 20 or 30 times.”

The Dollar’s Power Is Pushing Central Banks Toward Gold | Edward Fishman Edward Fishman, Senior Fellow and Director of the Maurice R. Greenberg Center for Geoeconomics at the Council on Foreign Relations and author of Chokepoints: American Power in the Age of Economic Warfare, joins Kitco Mining’s Paul Harris at the 2026 Mining Forum Americas in Colorado Springs to explain how control over currencies, critical minerals and trade routes is becoming a source of geopolitical power. Fishman says the freezing of Russia’s central-bank reserves in 2022 helped accelerate official-sector demand for #gold, while China’s dominance of rare earth processing has exposed another major economic chokepoint. He argues that Western governments are investing to diversify critical-mineral supply chains, but says breaking China’s leverage will take years rather than happen quickly. youtube.com/watch?v=UEO1iP…
