For this very reason, and to set an exemplary precedent, the senior judges of the Supreme Court considered the death penalty to be necessary as a deterrent and accordingly pronounced that sentence. This punishment is in full accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah. What is most astonishing is that even today, we continue to shamelessly circulate falsehoods regarding this matter.
