It seems like the backend change is about to complete and likely $BBBYQ Chapter 11 Exit & Distribution Announcement will hit the market soon! When you look at the pinned post below, on August 4 when I checked, $BBBYW with same DK-Butterfly issuer's CUSIP # 075896159 shows under DK-Butterfly, NOT under $OSTK. The former $OSTK was using the $BBBY ticker. After that company changed its ticker from $BBBY to $NXH, a separate $BBBYW entry appeared under the $NXH entity with different CUSIP # 690370127. This suggests that the original $BBBYW associated with CUSIP 075896159 may have belonged to DK-Butterfly all along, despite appearing while the unrelated former $OSTK entity was trading as $BBBY. In my opinion, the shared ticker may have acted as a smokescreen that obscured which legal entity was actually connected to the security. If a new security name appears beside that blank CUSIP, it could coincide with Distribution Announcement with New Shares, Warrant, and Cash Payout and $BBBYQ @BedBathBeyond Chapter 11 exit update for DK-Butterfly Finally happen after 3 years of NOL Preservation. There are many speculation that announcement could happen between 9/9 Teddy Bear day and 9/29 Which is the plan effective date since DK-Butterfly name changed. Lastly, ChatGPT also said that this is typical database-clean up process when Chapter 11 case moving towards Final Completion, Exit and Distribution, preparing for Issuing New Securities.
