What this means for you folks: 1: This white paper basically allows private companies to take over the operations and distribution of water. Which means you will pay more and you will be cut off quicker for failing to pay because you’re being charged by a business not a municipality. 2. Because of ring fencing the municipalities won’t be able to cross use revenue, utility money will be kept separate, meaning if you have a crap or poor municipality things like potholes, refuse collection, street lights etc. will be significantly worse off, and you’ll hear about “budget constraints”, the stakes of maladministration will be felt more than ever before.

If your government wanted to fix the immigration issue, trust me after almost TWO years of Marching they would have… but instead they are introducing a BILL that they can use and manipulate to silence ppl by claiming that there was incitement everytime there’s public protests, they want everyone who is seen as a leader to be charged with a serious offence! Yet they can’t even curb SERIOUS CRIME???!!! The only people they consulted for this Bill is SAPS, NDPP and CSPS? 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ On top of that the Somali Association is now taking our people to court in Bellville just because they demanded that street trading be reserved for South Africans?? They want people to be stopped from even marching in the area and must be left to just trade without interference… SOMALIS?‼️‼️ in our own country??? And now the same government is trying to say that Asylum Seekers must no longer be considered foreigners when looking for jobs but the same Asylum seeker process has now been wide open for illegal immigrants to manipulate while they continue to stay in the country and be “documented” as Asylum Seekers but once rejected the Department of Home Affairs can’t find them in order to deport them! So exactly where is this country going???

[Yes / No] Summary of position I support the Bill’s aim of putting South African work seekers first, and its framework of quotas, labour-market testing and fines. I object to Clause 1(d), which amends the definition of “foreign national” in section 1 to exclude refugees and asylum seekers. That change would take refugees and asylum seekers outside the whole of the new Chapter 3A. Employers would not need to check whether a South African is available before hiring them, prepare a skills transfer plan, or count them against a quota. For South Africans looking for work, this would weaken the very protections the Bill is meant to create. I ask the Committee to: keep the current definition of “foreign national”; write into the Act a clear rule that South African citizens are considered first for employment; and retain and enforce the Bill’s protections for local work seekers. Who I am I am a South African citizen who has been both employed and unemployed. I make this submission in my personal capacity, as an ordinary work seeker, and not on behalf of any business or organisation. I know first-hand what it means to look for work in this country, and what a single income means to a household. My experience of employment and unemployment Periods without work. Only include what you saw or experienced directly.] What I learned. [Optional. For example, training or a learnership that helped you get work, which shows that skills gaps can be closed locally.] My experience is not unusual. Many people in my community are in the same position. A job is often the only income in a household, and every vacancy matters. Objection to Clause 1(d) 1. It works against the Bill’s own purpose. Section 2(1)(h)(iii), as amended, says foreign employment must promote work opportunities for and training of South African citizens and permanent residents. Exempting a large group of non-citizens from the labour-market test and from quotas weakens that protection at a time of very high unemployment. 2. It weakens the quota test. Proposed section 12B(7)(c) requires the Minister to consider the availability of skills “among South Africans, refugees and asylum seekers” when setting a quota. A quota could therefore be set higher because skills exist among refugees and asylum seekers, even where South Africans with those skills are still looking for work. 3. Asylum seekers have no determined status. An asylum seeker is someone whose application has not yet been decided. Applications can remain pending for long periods, and not all are approved. Giving undecided applicants the same hiring status as citizens is premature.

I’m sorry but we stood no chance 😭 You look at the calibre of people other countries appoint as ministers and then look at South Africa. Rwanda has a Sports Minister with a degree in Economics and a Master’s in Economic Policy Management. Ours his background includes a criminal conviction with no qualifications. We even have a Minister of Defence with no military rank. The difference in the standards we accept for public office is staggering.

Guys please share this as much as you possibly can… On Friday I got this video from Wandile, I’ve even attached the screenshot of the day I got from my WhatsApp… And the very next morning he was arrested! The police were refusing to open a case until he called my husband who advised them to take down the names of the officers if they refuse to open a case! Now suddenly when the case shows up it’s apparently of stealing a phone and the worst part is that we are not even sure if these girls are okay or not because on Saturday the guys were going to that building to help them and others that the other girls had said were kidnapped at that flat‼️‼️

Listening to the @IamMzilikazi podcast of that lady from Kempton park who in July, went jogging only to be abducted by 3 foreign sounding men, driving a black window tinted Polo, she fought them off & manage to escape, opened a case but since July hasn't heard anything from the police, no update, nothing 💔 Now here is a clincher, in August, the very same men came to her house to attack her again. Who gave them her physical address between the hospital where she was examined & the police station where the case was opened? The government expects SAns to sit back & just take it. Accept the military aged men into their communities, risking the women & children to be kidnapped, molested & unalived ? What is the plan here ??
