Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “How strange does it seem, that these tests. which weigh a ton on our chest today will one day elevate us. Elevate us so high, that we will thank Allāh. We will thank Him for testing us, for loving us and for giving us more than anyone could imagine.”

Important principles to remember. 1. There is no sin greater than kufr (disbelief) 2. Entering into Islam cleanses you from past mistakes/sin 3. Every Muslim (new or old) has right over his fellow muslims (love, support, sincere advice etc) this is called (Walaa')
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: "Allāh becomes angry if you abandon asking Him whereas the sons of Ādam become angry when asked." [مدارج السالكين ٢/٩٨]
It really doesn’t matter what I think, if Allah has given him a clean slate after converting to Islam then I have no right to say anything other than that. The messengerﷺsaid; “converting to Islam wipes away everything before that”, May #Allah keep him steadfast & away from sins
