Good stuff. Now, get 2 LCAs + 1 Su30 out of sqd service, fund Kaveri w/5 bn budget, build and blow up 25 engines, test the thing till kingdom come. Design a new aircraft arnd Kaveri - maybe a 2 engine - order 200 of that. Better than buying 3 sqd of Su57.

Absolutely commendable, one of the few in leadership that seem to genuinely want self reliance however is undermined by most below him HOWEVER aerospace is a huge blind spot for him. India should have at least 1 airliner FAL and the lack of support on engines is unforgivable

But one thing that this highlights is India will need persistent ISR assets including own satellites, HAPS, HALE/MALE and ISTAR aircraft. It is terribly behind in this.
