we often shame ourselves for trying. like see, it didn’t workout just like i expected but it’s important for you to acknowledge that you were scared & did it anyways. even if it didn’t workout, it says something about you. you didn’t let your trauma control you. that’s beautiful.

it is draining to engage with people who think I’m arguing or personally attacking them every time I try to solve an issue or express my emotions. it creates mental exhaustion. if someone can’t tolerate you asking clarifying questions and sharing how you feel, keep your distance.

how do i convey this properly… if you communicated to them in detail about how their actions hurt you & they apologize profusely but go right back to doing the behavior that originally upset you, that’s a choice. you shouldn’t have to explain yourself again about the same thing.
