I don't think people understand... you can LITERALLY drive someone to a point of not wanting to be bothered with you at all, on ANY level. Whether it's a friendship, relationship, family, etc. It's only so much one person can take.

Showing up is such an easy task I don’t know why we let our loved ones down. All you have to do is make time. Our funerals give us so much grace coz you have few days before burial. If you can’t attend the funeral, you show up during the week ka bucket ya dikuku or wa pillar.

Ene trust me it matters. Coz you’ll always remember how a friend came through for u whether she came the night ya go pillar or helped around the house, the friend who won’t be able to attend the funeral but she was there during the week helping ka tea etc. her feelings are valid

Funerals will really radicalise you when it comes to friendships. You learn who’s truly for you. It’s one of the realest tests of commitment .. it means showing up, even if it means sleeping in a car, bathing in a vaskom, watching your car mileage spike while driving. Love makes…
