The right hand of St. Great Martyr Demetrius, the Myrrh-Streamer, is part of the spiritual heritage of the Panaghía Dovrá Monastery, near the city of Veria, Greece. Saint Demetrius, pray for us!

Hail, O incomparable soldier of Christ, thrice-blessed Demetrios! For, according to Paul, you fought the good fight, you finished the race, you kept the Faith, and you were worthily crowned by God with the crown of righteousness! Hail, O Martyr Demetrios! For although you too received in your body the wounds that Christ endured, you ascended to Him with joy and gladness! Hail, O Martyr Demetrios! For you truly became an imitator of Christ! ~ Saint Neophytos the Recluse ☦️

Grief descends upon the families of the martyrs of Saint George Church in Karak, Jordan.

Martyrs of the Church, Christ is risen!

POV: You have the Sistine Chapel to yourself. Four years on a scaffold. 5,000 square feet of Genesis, prophets, and the Creation itself. When Michelangelo started this, he was 33. And decades later, he climbed the scaffolds again to paint The Last Judgment on the altar wall. Standing here alone, you just feel how much of himself he left in the paint. Every wall is Michelangelo telling you there is something bigger. If you were alone in here, where would you look first?

Christians hunted like animals in Nigeria. The world is silent.

Watch how this Female Muslim confronts this Christian street preacher and she gets instantly humbled. Almost everything she said is from the dawah scripts. I’m glad that the Gospel made her still. Pray for her. Lies don’t last forever.

Fasting equates us with angels, makes us roommates with Saints, makes our lives wise. — Saint Basil the Great

“I can’t wait for the day where people realise Christianity is genuinely bad for society” - Providing healthcare to the sick and poor - Establishing and developing hospitals, founding universities - Establishing schools around the world - Systematic care for the poor, widows, orphans, and strangers - Creation and spread of orphanages and homes for abandoned or disabled children - Nursing orders and professional nursing traditions rooted in religious communities - Hospices and modern palliative/end-of-life care - Mass literacy campaigns driven by Bible translation and reading - Education for women and the poor in societies where it was previously restricted - Abolitionist movements against the transatlantic slave trade and slavery - Broader human dignity and natural rights ideas - Gothic, Romanesque, and Renaissance architecture Without Christianity, the entire world would still be in the barbarian age.
