I’m a Christian who didn’t wait until marriage. I’m a Christian who has walked away from the church. I’m a Christian who has struggled with anger, bitterness, and forgiveness. I’m a Christian who has lied, lost her temper, said things she couldn’t take back, and hurt people she loves. I’m a Christian who has put people, feelings, and worldly things before God. I’m also a Christian who STILL battles sin. I say this, because somewhere along the way, people got this idea that following Jesus means you suddenly become incapable of making a mess of things… and I hate to break it to you, but that’s not how sanctification works. I didn’t come to Jesus because I had it all together. I came to Jesus because I was falling apart… I have a past. Some of it isn’t pretty. Some of it I’m ashamed of. Some of it I wish I could go back and change. Even after a surrendering my life to Christ, I’ve had moments when my flesh was louder than my faith… but I’m not going to dress up my testimony to make Christianity look more appealing to people who think Christians should be perfect. I’m not going to pretend I’ve never fallen just because somebody might use my failures to question my salvation. Because my testimony isn’t that I’ve lived a sinless life… My testimony is that Jesus met me right in the middle of my sin and loved me enough not to leave me there. But DO NOT confuse that with me making excuses for sin. Grace isn’t permission to keep living however I please. Grace is the very reason I get back up, repent, and keep allowing God to change the parts of me that still don’t look like Him. Some days that growth is beautiful… Other days it’s ugly, humbling, and downright uncomfortable… but it’s growth. I’m still being pruned. Still being convicted. Still learning to die to myself daily. I would much rather sit at the feet of Jesus, fully aware of how desperately I need Him, than stand on some imaginary pedestal looking down on everybody whose sin happens to look different than mine. THE GROUND IS LEVEL AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS. You won’t find perfection in me. You’ll find a woman who has been forgiven much, who still gets things wrong, and who is eternally grateful that God’s mercy didn’t run out when she messed up again. Jesus didn’t come because we were righteous enough to deserve Him… He came because we were sinners who desperately needed a Savior. I still need Him. Every. Single. Day. ✍️ HB

Voters tend not to turnout for midterms because historically the difference between the two parties has been functionally negligible--it's always been like choosing between Coke or Pepsi. This year it's like choosing between drinking a glass of Coke or a glass of Drano drain cleaner. Folks who don't stay up on politics simply are unaware that the Democrat Party has been absorbed by a Communist/Jihadist alliance bent on destroying the Constitution and the American way of life. You might not like Coca-Cola. But drinking Drano will end your life.

The guy in charge of the ballots in Champaign County, Illinois is under federal indictment. He's also on the ballot. Clerk Aaron Ammons is charged with obstruction for allegedly helping cover for his wife, a Democrat state rep facing eight counts of wire fraud. He asked to push his own federal trial to December so he could run this election, and he got it. So how's that going? His office mailed more than 600 ballots with the wrong state House races on them. Early voting got shut down, and a lot of voters found out when they showed up. 28 people already voted on bad ballots, and those votes can't be fixed. One of the races they botched is a seat the Republican won by 269 votes last time. His wife's district got scrambled too. This is the same office that blamed a "cyberattack" in 2022, had an outage on Election Day 2024, and printed a GOP candidate's name as "Tad." Congress gave him until Friday to explain himself. Republicans asked Illinois AG Kwame Raoul to step in, and his office wouldn't even comment. Wisconsin's election bosses just told 1,800 clerks they are not allowed to check whether voters are American citizens. They did it eighteen days before an election. The Wisconsin Elections Commission voted unanimously to bar every municipal clerk from using SAVE, the federal citizenship database. The Supreme Court cleared the way for it on September 25. Wisconsin got the green light and slammed on the brakes anyway. Their excuse is a state privacy law. Their backup plan is even better. According to their own FAQ, what stops a noncitizen from voting is that he swears he's a citizen and might get prosecuted if somebody ever catches him. That's the whole firewall. Then it gets worse. The same commission's guidance says ICE, DHS, and FBI agents who show up at the polls get treated like any other observer. If a federal agency is spotted in the parking lot and isn't taking a lawful action, clerks are told to call local police to find out why it's there. So the feds get the third degree, and the voter rolls get the honor system. Wisconsin's Democrat primary for governor in August was decided by fewer than 4,000 votes. Tell me again this doesn't matter. If Madison won't verify citizenship, Congress needs to pass the SAVE America Act and do it for them.

Bob Uecker spent 54 seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers radio booth. The most famous pennant call of his life was a fake one, in a movie. Last night his replacement used it for the real thing. Here is the whole thing. Jackson Chourio caught the last out and Jeff Levering said this on WTMJ. "The Brewers win the pennant! Oh my God, the Brewers win the pennant!" Then, "The World Series will go through Wisconsin!" Now here is why Wisconsin lost it. Uecker played Harry Doyle in Major League. The announcer. He has a line in that movie, when the team finally wins the pennant, and the line is oh my God. That movie was filmed in Milwaukee. So the most quoted pennant call Bob Uecker ever made was for a team he did not work for, in a city he was not in, for a championship that never happened. Now here is the man himself. Before the booth he was a catcher. He played 297 games in the big leagues and hit .200. Fourteen home runs. Total. He won a ring in St. Louis as the backup catcher, which means he has a World Series ring and almost no World Series. He built an entire second life out of being bad at baseball. Harry Doyle. Mr. Belvedere. The Tonight Show. The beer ads. And 54 seasons on the radio in Milwaukee. Here is the part that stops you. He was already the Brewers announcer the last time this team won a pennant. That was 44 years ago, in his twelfth season. He did 42 more after that one. He never got another. He kept working while he was sick for the last two years of it. He was in the clubhouse for the division clinch in his final September. He passed away about 21 months ago, at 90 years old. Here is what Levering said afterward. "I'm still trying to pinch myself because I'm pretty sure I blacked out as soon as that third out was made." He said he had nothing written down. "I didn't script anything." And then, "I felt what I felt." And then this. "It always goes to Bob. We felt him with us all night." The team put out one line of its own. Dedicating this pennant to Mr. Baseball. Now the honest part. He did get one. He was in that booth for the last pennant and he got to call it, so this is not a man who never saw it happen. And Milwaukee won this thing without him. But he spent 42 more seasons waiting on another one, and the pennant call everybody can recite was something he made up in a movie. Last night a guy who grew up listening to him said it out loud, and meant it.

Storyline #1: An inspiring immigrant woman escaped from poverty, genocide and Communist rule in the poorest nation on Earth, made her own way in the United States and rose to national prominence as a Congresswoman. However, because she is a vocal supporter for social justice, an evil Republican President/fascist dictator has targeted her for abusive prosecution on trumped-up, nonexistent charges. Now she stands for oppressed Americans everywhere as she fights the power. Storyline #2: The wealthy, privileged daughter of a genocidal, Communist Somali army colonel who had been trained in the Soviet Union fled to America with her father so the two could escape torture, imprisonment and execution after the father’s genocidal, Communist regime leader was overthrown. Upon arrival in America, the father and the daughter both committed immigration fraud and illegally obtained U.S. citizenship (or never obtained U.S. citizenship, the story is unclear). The daughter then rose to prominence with the backing of George Soros and his massive network of NGOs and PACs, was elected to Congress, was controlled by Soros and other Neo-Marxist groups who may well have held her illegal alien status over her head to manipulate her, while she maintained close contact with organized crime lords inside Minnesota’s Somali community. The bottom line is that it seems an illegal alien with genocidal Communist roots was illegally elected to Congress where she has spent years promoting Communism, organized crime and destruction of our Constitution and our national institutions. This reads like a Tom Clancy novel, but it’s all true and is one of the worst scandal in U.S. history. Now, finally, a President with iron will is holding her and her network of Communist thieves to account for their crimes. You decide which storyline is true and which is false.

So today, lead me where You want me to go, keep me from places I do not belong, and give me the wisdom to recognize the difference. Guard my mouth from speaking foolishly, my mind from entertaining fear, and my heart from becoming hardened by the troubles of this world. Lord, help me not to confuse being busy with being fruitful, being successful with being faithful, or being comfortable with being obedient. Give me the courage to stand for truth, the humility to receive correction, and the grace to love people who are difficult to love. When I am tempted to worry, remind me that You are sovereign. When I grow weary, renew my strength. When I face opposition, remind me that no weapon formed against me shall prosper according to Your purposes. And Father, let me not become so consumed with what I want You to do for me that I forget what You desire to do through me. Make me useful for Your kingdom today.
