Dann kam der Knall: Auf dem Weg nach oben kam den Polizisten ein Motorradfahrer entgegen. Die Beamten gaben der Feuerwehr dahinter Bescheid, die stoppte den Mann, und er wurde vorläufig festgenommen. Laut Bild geht die Polizei dem Verdacht der Brandstiftung nach. Ob er mit dem Feuer zu tun hat, wird noch geprüft. Die Kripo Traunstein hat übernommen. Das Haus wurde 1938 für die NS-Führung fertiggestellt. Hitler empfing dort Diplomaten und Gäste aus dem Ausland. Seit 1952 ist es eine Berggaststätte mit einer Ausstellung zur eigenen Geschichte.
