You will experience much more peace in your life if you stop trying to figure things out that simply don’t make sense. You may never know why that person said what they said, did what they did, or didn’t do what they said they’d do. You may never get that apology, recognition, approval, acknowledgment, acceptance or esteem you deserve or desire. The person that ghosted, ignored or rejected you privately may be the very same person feigning love and acceptance of everyone else publicly. I know it feels personal and the pain visceral, but don’t allow the devil to get in your head and lie to you. This is about them —not you. God’s got you. He sees. He knows. He cares. Give it to Him and go to sleep.
Habakkuk’s circumstance didn’t change, but his perspective did. A perspective shift makes a huge impact on our faith and ability to move forward. Where in your life do you need to remember that God is bigger than the things happening around you?
