This is the worst child poverty rate (13.7%) since 2018. Almost 10 million US kids in poverty last year. (Note: the "supplemental poverty rate" takes into account all gov't aid programs EITC, CTC, SNAP, school lunches, LIHEAP, etc)
This is so sad. Child poverty rose again in 2023 according to the US Census "supplemental poverty rate" (blue line). **We saw record low child poverty in 2021 when we had the expanded Child Tax Credit that really helped the lowest income families** We know how to greatly reduce
