The ocean is the blue heart of our planet. But its rhythms are disrupted by pollution and exploitation. This week, we tabled the 🇪🇺 Ocean Pact. Our strategy to turn the tide towards lasting protection. Monday, our ambitions are going global at the UN Ocean Conference.

The ocean feeds us, cools us and connects us to the world. We came to Nice to work together to protect it – with results! The new High Seas Treaty means our efforts won’t stop in national waters. And we invest in research to make our ocean healthier ↓

Europe invests in the health of the ocean! With €1 billion to promote sustainable fisheries and regenerate maritime ecosystems. Knowledge is key for ocean conservation. So an important part of these funds will support researchers in helping us understand and protect the seas.
