I'm not applying for the Jio IPO. I think Jio's promoters believe Indian Retail Investors are fools. I appreciate Jio's business. But this company made ₹30,000+ Cr profit in FY26 and still wants a fresh issue from investors to repay ₹27,500 Cr of debt. That's almost its entire net debt. Okay, That's fine to do that...But what about the Retail investors who held Reliance for years only for Jio? Nobody was interested in your oil business. Loyal RIL shareholders, already down over 20% this year, got zero benefit. No free shares. No discount. Employees get ₹54 off per share. Shareholders get ₹0 off. Quick math : RIL holds 593.78 Cr Jio shares and has 1,353 Cr shares of its own. A JFS style demerger could have meant roughly 1 Jio share for every 2.3 RIL shares. Holders could have owned Jio directly. Instead, they are being asked to buy it. Love the business. Hate the deal.
