People often generalise about Pakistanis - calling them "backwards", "uneducated" or "third worlders". This is my beautiful father. He came to the UK in the 1960s as a young boy. A father to five daughters, he taught me how to swim, ride a bike, drive and negotiate business deals. He never once complained about not having a son. For a Muslim Pakistani immigrant in Britain, he was more progressive than his time. While Britain was still fighting for women's rights, my father was making sure his daughters had every tool they needed to navigate the world. He didn't raise daughters to be dependent on men. He raised us to be capable and fearless. So the next time you hear someone stereotype British Pakistanis, remember this: There are good and bad people in every community. But never mistake someone's background for a measure of their worth.

Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Karachi is another landmark achievement initiated by Imran khan. It is planned to open end December. One of Pakistan’s top actor Shan is personally in the field to raise donations for this great cause.

جب کسی ملک کے باصلاحیت لوگ اچھی ملازمتوں کے باوجود وطن چھوڑنے لگیں تو یہ محض ذہانت کا انخلا نہیں، بلکہ ملک کے مستقبل پر اعتماد کے فقدان کا اظہار ہے۔ پاکستانی صرف بہتر تنخواہوں کی تلاش میں ملک نہیں چھوڑ رہے۔ وہ عزتِ نفس، میرٹ، انصاف اور اپنے بچوں کے محفوظ مستقبل کے خواہاں ہیں۔ المیہ یہ نہیں کہ لوگ وطن چھوڑ رہے ہیں، المیہ یہ ہے کہ وطن میں رہنے کی امید چھوڑ رہے ہیں۔ قوموں کا اصل زوال تب شروع ہوتا ہے جب ان کے باصلاحیت لوگ ملک چھوڑنے سے پہلے اس کے مستقبل پر یقین چھوڑ دیتے ہیں۔ /2

But where are we heading. Another year and imagine the fate of common Pakistanis.
