Person-to-person transactions, merchant payments up to ₹2,000 (per transaction) and AutoPay (recurring payments) will continue without MDR. Small individual merchants receiving up to ₹1 lakh a month into their own accounts will also remain outside its ambit. Growing businesses need payment solutions that grow with them. ₹2,000 is the per-transaction threshold for MDR, not a daily limit. There is no cap on cumulative or repeat transactions below ₹2,000.
