WXIA: Mike Collins is responding to claims he hired his chief of staff’s girlfriend as an intern and made her thousands when she didn’t actually work in his office… The complaints focus on the potential misuse of congressional funds.

Ossoff: The congressman will have to defend his non-cooperation with a bipartisan federal investigation into the illegal misuse of tax dollars by his office. The congressman will have to defend his office briefing some of the nation's most notorious white supremacists on efforts in support of a Holocaust denier. The congressman will have to defend his votes for the Iran war, for the Trump tariffs, and to double health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians — and I look forward to vigorously prosecuting the case against Congressman Collins for his egregious misconduct.

Ossoff: I am demanding that Congressman Mike Collins cooperate with this federal investigation into the illegal misuse of tax dollars, that he commit to testifying in this matter, and that he explain to Georgia voters and the press why he has refused to answer questions, refused to testify, stonewalled and obstructed the Office of Congressional Conduct.

Ossoff: I don't think anything illustrates the times more aptly than that the draft-dodging crook president, who has plunged our nation recklessly into a war he knows not how to end or to win, tried to imprison this man, who embodies American heroism — a decorated combat veteran, naval aviator, astronaut, space shuttle commander, U.S. Senator. Donald Trump tried to lock him up for daring to state in public a fundamental principle of military law.

Ossoff: They hunted the vice president to kill him. They built a gallows on the Capitol lawn. They assaulted police officers with flagpoles and bear spray, and they tried to seize the presidency for Donald Trump. And to this day, Mike Collins supports that violent attempt to overturn the election. He honors and defends them. He went to visit them in jail.

Ossoff: About Natalie Harp, these White House staffers are adults, public officials paid by the taxpayer with immense power in positions of public trust. And whether it's Natalie Harp printing out Donald Trump's daily dose of delusion and flattery, or Peter Navarro steering taxpayer-funded loans to Trump family investments, or Pete Hegseth deluding the president daily into deepening this quagmire in the Middle East, no one cares about their feelings. The sailors on the Lincoln are fighting his war, a war based on lies, while he plays with his new ballroom, flies around on a jet given to him by a foreign prince, and retreats into this circle of sycophantic aides who tell him every day what he wants to hear, not what he needs to hear. This entire White House is responsible for lying the country into war.

Ossoff: Speaking of crooks, not a lot of people know this, but Congressman Mike Collins is literally one of the most active crypto traders in the entire Congress, House or Senate. Now remember, Mike's already under federal investigation for illegally funnelling tax dollars to his violent staffer’s girlfriend for a no-show job. Do you remember that? But Mike Collins also repeatedly broke the law hiding his crypto trading. Because he's like a scandal piñata. Every time you shake him, more misdeeds fall out.

Fox News host Jesse Watters: Ossoff, apparently, is great with voters. When someone emails, when someone calls, he gets right back to them. And that goes a long way, because word gets out.

Ossoff: Every single minute of every single day, what the president of the United States should be doing is bearing his most solemn burden of care for the sailors and Marines and aviators and all service members deployed on his orders, on the basis of his lies, to this disaster in the Middle East. And just like the West Wing is full of sycophants who tell him what he wants to hear and enable him, so is the United States Congress. Republicans in the House and Senate who still lack the spine to tell this president what he doesn't want to hear. And one of those is Congressman Mike Collins here in Georgia. The pro-war, pro-tariff, pro-cutting your health care, bigot congressman, Trump puppet who wants a six-year term in the United States Senate.

Ossoff: Tech titans dig bunkers and warn us the new intelligence they're training could lead to mass joblessness or human extinction, and our Congress debates ballrooms and youth sports. We've amassed enough firepower to end the world a thousand times over, but we can't summon the will to guarantee health care and pre-K. I say all this to say that it's the crushing weakness of our politics against the unmet needs of our people and the massive stakes of our times that's shaking our faith in the future.

Ossoff: He promised to lower prices on day one. Do you remember that? And I want the president's remaining supporters to hear this, because it was all a lie. Under Donald J. Trump, it costs more than ever to stock your fridge, to power your home, to make a cup of coffee, to buy school supplies for your kid or a tractor for your farm. Gas is up 30% since inauguration. Diesel 47%, coffee 35%, ground beef 23%. They doubled your health insurance premiums and slashed Medicaid to cut taxes for their corporate donors and the ultra-rich.

Ossoff: Mike Collins, the bigot congressman, surrounded at work and at home by neo-Nazis and white nationalists. His office, briefing America's most notorious white supremacists on their efforts to support a Holocaust denier. And we've seen some of those records because they leaked, but Mike still refuses to release their communications in full. So let me be clear, Mike Collins needs to release every email, every text, every call, every single communication between those white supremacists and himself or his Chief of Staff or anyone in his office.

Ossoff: Aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, they've now been at sea for 240-plus days without a port call. It’s a Navy record. And still they serve with excellence. God bless the sailors, Marines, aviators, and all aboard the United States Ship Abraham Lincoln. See, they don't expect luxury. They'll endure hardship. But they deserve competent leaders who send them into combat only when necessary and with decisive clarity of purpose, not fools who lie about the purpose and progress of war. And while the sailors on the Lincoln fight his war, while he fruitlessly drains our munitions and oil reserves, the president sleeps through his meetings. He golfs and trades stocks.

Ossoff: [Mike Collins] wants to take taxpayer dollars and pay it out to the traitors and thugs who sacked the United States Capitol on January 6th. What he is saying to the people of Georgia is — after cutting their health care, throwing 300,000 of them off their health insurance, doubling health insurance premiums for more than a million Georgians — he's then going to take their tax dollars and pay it out to violent criminals. And Mike Collins needs to come out tomorrow, he needs to recant his support for taxpayer-funded payouts to January 6th insurrectionists, he needs to recant his support for Donald Trump's 2020 election denialism.

Ossoff: Maybe you saw Jay Clayton, the president's nominee to lead our intelligence services, refuse again and again while under oath to affirm Donald Trump's defeat in the 2020 election. Or maybe you saw Pete Hegseth before the Senate refusing to recant his lies about the war in Iran. And there's something uniquely despicable about lying a nation into war. Treating citizens as fools and the selfless patriots who serve as pawns.
